Gather Supplies

Before you start cleaning your boat, you’ll need to gather some supplies. These include brushes, a long hose with access to fresh water, a marine boat wash that is made for your specific type of craft, towels, a mop, polish or wax, a bucket, and sponges. Keep in mind that gentler cleaners are usually the best option to avoid damaging your vessel’s coat or finish.

Rinsing

You should start the boat cleaning process by rinsing your craft. You should ideally rinse your boat after each trip on the water. This is especially important if you take your vessel out on saltwater. Rinsing will reduce the buildup of grime, so keeping up with rinsing means you’ll have less to clean later. Before applying any cleaner, give your vessel a good rinse with fresh water.

Wash the Outside

Grab your marine boat wash and a soft-bristle brush. It’s time to wash the outside of your boat! Make sure you’re using specific products that won’t damage the paint or hull. Finishing Touches

Now it’s time to put the final touches on your vessel! Wash the upholstery and vinyl with a sponge soaked with soapy water. Don’t forget to clean the windows with a glass cleaner, and use a vacuum or broom to collect any dust or debris from the floors.
